SD Card Warranty & RMA Policy

Warranty and RMA terms for SD and microSD cards, including coverage period, what is considered normal wear, and how to request replacements for eligible failures.

1. Warranty period

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, SD and microSD cards purchased from SDCardFactory are covered by a limited hardware warranty for 24 months from the original invoice date. Some industrial or extended‑life product lines may carry longer coverage; any such terms will be clearly stated on the product detail page and invoice.

2. Scope of coverage

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions. It does not cover data loss, incidental or consequential damage, or failures caused by misuse, physical damage, operation outside the specified temperature or humidity range, exposure to liquids, or use in unsupported devices or workloads.

3. Endurance and expected wear

Endurance cards are rated for a defined amount of write hours or TBW (terabytes written). Once cards reach their rated life, gradual wear‑out and performance changes are expected. Cards that have operated beyond their published ratings are considered to have reached normal end of life and are not treated as defective under this warranty.

4. RMA process

If you suspect a card is failing within the warranty period, back up any readable data immediately and run a basic health or SMART check if available. Then collect the product SKU, serial or batch number, proof of purchase, device model, and a short description of how the card is used (camera type, recording mode, duty cycle). Contact our support team with this information to initiate an RMA ticket. Cards may need to be returned for analysis before a repair, replacement, or credit is issued.
