LED FAQ:

1. What is led?

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits light when current flows through it. Electrons in semiconductors recombine with electron holes, releasing energy in the form of photons. LEDs are just little lights that can easily fit into a circuit. However, unlike regular incandescent bulbs, they don't have a filament that can wear out, and they don't get particularly hot. They are only lit by the movement of electrons in the semiconductor material, and they run as long as standard transistors.

2. Why is LED Lighting the next generation of lighting?

LED lights are the next generation of lighting equipment that saves energy, reduces maintenance and replacement costs, and helps protect the environment. They also last much longer than traditional lighting. They do many unique jobs and are found in all different types of gadgets. Light Emitting Diodes, commonly known as LEDs, are the true unsung heroes of today's world. They form numbers on a digital clock, transmit data from the remote, light up the watch and let you know when your device is on. Combined, they can form an image on a large flat-screen TV screen, or illuminate an entire area while replacing old-fashioned filament lamps.

3. What type of light quality can be expected with LED lights?

The c of light is determined by the energy required for electrons to cross the semiconductor band gap. White light is obtained by using multiple semiconductors or a layer of light-emitting phosphors on a semiconductor device.

4. LED lights can match your existing lighting in brightness and colocolouow energy efficient are LED lights?

LED lighting can save up to 90% of the electricity used by incandescent and halogen lamps, and up to 50% of the electricity used by fluorescent lamps. However, as with any product, there can be poorpoor-quality lights and highhigh-quality lights.

You've probably experienced poorpoor-qualityducts that don't match your existing lighting. FOS LED will help you choose the right fixture to replace your existing lighting fixtures in terms of brightness and colocolouperature.

5. Where are LED lights used?

LED lights are used for long-term lighlightingh as offices, home interiors, hotels, restaurants, shops, factories, car dealerships, and outdoor lighting.

6. What are the benefits of LED?

There are some Advantages of LED Lighting:

Long Lifespan.

Energy Efficiency.

Improved Environmental Performance.

The Ability to Operate in Cold Conditions.

No Heat or UV Emissions.

Design Flexibility.

Instant Lighting and the Ability to Withstand Frequent Switching.

Low Voltage Operation.

Dimming Capabilities.

LED light, however, only lights up an area of 180°, which makes LED lighting perfect when you need recessed lighting in an industrial kitchen, hallway or bathroom.

7. Is LED lighting better than incandescent or halogen lamps?

About 80-90% of the energy emitted by an incandescent light bulb is converted into heat instead of light. LED lighting is about 85% more efficient than incandescent bulbs, so it doesn't require as much energy to produce the same amount of light. LED lights also last about 50 times longer than incandescent lights.

8. What is the best choice: LED, fluorescent or CFL?

Unlike LED lights, most fluorescent and compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) contain hazardous substances such as mercury. This requires careful and proper disposal of them, ensuring that they do not contaminate landfills. Since most cannot be dimmed, fluorescent lights may flicker. Unfortunately, people can be sensitive to this effect - leading to eye strain, migraines and other headaches. LED lights, like Encore LED's lights, utilize solid-state technology for stable dimming without flickering. Fluorescent lamps can take a considerable amount of time to reach their optimum brightness, which is a more complicated issue in cold conditions. LED lights light up instantly in any environment, even in refrigerators and freezers.

9. How long can LED lights last?

Quality LED lights can last up to 50,000 hours or more, but the average lifespan is around 35,000 hours. But it all depends on their design and how they dissipate the heat from the LED chips. Encore LED lights can last up to 20 years depending on the number of hours of use per day. Unlike other lighting products, LED lights don't fail comply and get dimmer. At 50,000 hours of use (or their rated lifetime), LED lights will be designed to provide at least 70% of their initial light output (LOR). Lifetime depends on many different factors, including luminaire design, LED chip type, ambient temperature, and luminaire design. The actual lifetime of an LED is complex to calculate and should be based on LM-80 measurements of the LED light source (calculated by an independent testing laboratory). Well-designed LSI InduIndustries lamps offer the best balance between light output and longevity.

10. Are LED lights too expensive?

The upfront cost of LED lights is higher than traditional lights, but over time they can save a lot of money by reducing energy usage and lowering replacement and maintenance costs. But how do you define expensive? Is it the upfront cost or the running cost of the lamp over time or the cost of replacing the lamp in the event of a failure? If it's a new building, installing LED lighting can sometimes cost the same as traditional technology, which means you'll start saving from the start.

11. Can LED light real electricity and money?

LEDs use about 75% less energy than halogen light bulbs and last 5 to 10 times longer, greatly reducing replacement costs and the number of light bulbs ending up in landfill. The up-front cost of LEDs generally has a payback time of less than 1 year.
